Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CAD/CAM Engineer to join a premier manufacturing and machining setup in Vadodara. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise 3D models, developing efficient CNC toolpaths, and optimizing machining processes for VMC and HMC machines to ensure high-accuracy production.
Key Responsibilities:

Design 3D models and detailed production drawings using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Mastercam, NX, or SolidWorks).

Generate optimal 2D and 3D toolpaths for CNC/VMC machining operations.

Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters (feeds and speeds) to maximize efficiency and tool life.

Simulate machining operations to detect and prevent collisions, gouges, or programming errors before shop floor execution.

Provide technical support to CNC programmers and machine operators on the shop floor during first-article production.

Continuously optimize existing programs to reduce cycle times and material waste.
Required Qualifications & Education:

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering.

Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in CAD/CAM programming and CNC/VMC manufacturing environments.
Required Expertise & Technical Knowledge:

Strong command of CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks) for toolpath generation and drafting.

Comprehensive knowledge of G-codes, M-codes, and various controller systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi).

In-depth understanding of cutting tool selections, material properties, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to read complex engineering blueprints.
